What is a Home Inspection?
The home buying process can be confusing and stressful. Not only do you need to consider things such as price and location, you also have to worry about whether the house itself has any problems that could become costly surprises down the road.
We at Tri-State Home Inspections of Wheeling, LLC perform a written home inspection that is an unbiased, professional assessment of the condition of the home on the day of the inspection. It provides you an expert opinion and professional report on the condition of the physical structure and various systems within the house. You (as the buyer) will be afforded the peace of mind of knowing the home has been professionally inspected on what is likely the largest purchase you'll ever make.

In order to gather information for the report, we will conduct a non-technically exhausting visual inspection of the house. The inspection process typically takes 2-4 hours to complete (depending on the size and overall condition of the house). You are encouraged to accompany our inspector or at least be present during the inspection. This will give you a chance to ask questions and become familiar with the systems of the home.
Our inspector will conduct the inspection according to state inspection requirements and/or standards of practice. Items that will typically be included in an inspection are:

When the inspection is complete, the inspector will inform you of any problems that were discovered and discuss them with you. The inspector will also tell you about any routine maintenance that should be performed, as well as answer any questions you may have. You will receive a full written report of the inspection within 24 hours.
The mission of Tri-State Home Inspections of Wheeling, LLC is to identify problems associated with the home that need to be watched, repaired or replaced and to inform/educate you (our client).
